Title:
PRR 9738, N-2SA, c. 1945
Description:
Here is an original photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9738, an N-2SA (2-10-2) "Santa Fe" built by the American Locomotive Company as an N-2S during April of 1919 and later rebuilt in Juniata as an N-2SA. Note the Railroaders perched atop the tender's "doghouse" and the N-6B's cupola. Perhaps they're watching a sporting event of some sort. The names of the photographer and of the men pictured here, as well as the date and the location, are not recorded. Gary Mittner Collection.
