Built by Baldwin in April of 1927 as part of the "Presidential Series" of Baltimore & Ohio 4-6-2 Pacifics, this loco had the distinction of wearing the name "President Tyler". Originally it was numbered B&O #5308 but in 19>6, it was renumbered B&O #106 as seen in this photo. In 1944, the loco was rebuilt to class P-7c with a solid steel engine bed and cylinder cast integral feed-water hearer. It was retired in 1957 with nearly all of the Presidential Series locos. Original specs - - 80" drivers, impressive 230 psi boiler pressure, 27x28" cylinders, engine weight of 326,000 lb, tractive effort of 50,000 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. R.R.
